PhotoSensitive, a non-profit, national collective of photographers, the Canadian Cancer Society and kubik joined together to create Cancer Connections – a unique photographic exhibit that documents the broad range of how cancer affects the lives of countless Canadians. kubik’s design places the exhibit’s 1000 gripping photographs within a modernist overhead structure that enables observers to pass through, surrounded by photos on all sides. Result: The exhibit structure combines heft, presence and impact, yet is simple enough in design that the emphasis remains on the powerful photos and compelling stories being told. The structure invites and welcomes visitors, maintaining the focus on the photos.
